Why to Choose to Run CPA Campaigns

CPA campaigns can be one of the easiest ways to make money on the
Internet. The entire way CPA campaigns are set-up lends them to
make more sense than some of the other forms of online marketing
that exist. However, not everything about them is easy.

CPA stands for Cost per Action. This means that you run ads that
you only get paid for if a person clicks on the ad and then does a
desired action. For example, a company might want to get people to
sign-up for a free month of a service. So you run the ad for that
company and a person clicks on the ad. If the person stops right
there then you wouldn’t receive any money. However, if the person
went ahead and signed-up for the free month then you would receive
money from the company offering the free month.

It’s just that easy.

CPA campaigns don’t require you to sell anything. Therefore it’s
easier to convert your ads into money. All people have to do is
perform some type of free action. Often the action is as easy as
completing a one page survey and sometimes is just as simple as the
person entering their zip code or email address.

Now, sometimes CPA campaigns don’t work well because the action
that’s required is just too difficult. Some CPA offers require the
person to fill-out pages of a survey and some even require the
person to enter their credit card number, which many people don’t
feel comfortable doing.

Of course the offers that require more of an action usually pay a
lot better. So people get lured into running these campaigns.
However, since they rarely pay out, it’s actually better to offer
the campaigns that pay a lot less but require a simple action.

Let’s look at an example. Say offer #1 requires a person to
fill-out a one page survey and pays you $1 for every offer that’s
completed. Meanwhile, offer #2 requires people to fill-out a 10
page survey but pays you $10 for every offer that’s completed.

An equal number of people go to each offer. For this example let’s
say 1000 people go to each offer. Offer #1 is completed by 50% of
the people and brings in a tidy $500 for you (50% of 1000 is 500 x
$1 = $500). Only 10% of the people actually fill-out the second
offer. 50% began to fill it out but 80% of them stopped after the
first couple of pages. So you only get $100 from the second offer
(50% of 1000 is 500 and 20% of that is 100 x $1 = $100.

An equal number of people clicked on each add and an equal number
of people started filling-out the survey, but most people simply
don’t have the patience to complete much more than one page. So you
will make $400 more in this example by running the ad that’s
shorter and earns you less money with each action.

CPA campaigns make a lot of sense because they convert a lot better
than many other forms on Internet Marketing. If you run the right
campaigns and you know how to run effective ads (with the right
keywords) then you will achieve success with CPA campaigns.

Many of the CPA networks have 2 tier programs so you can earn
commissions on your referrals income.
